Unity offers the following accommodations to our guests with disabilities.
We are honored to have you as our guest and will do everything we can to make your festival experience an enjoyable time with your family and friends!
Parking and Shuttles:
Accessible parking is available fairly close to the venue, on a paved, level parking area that allows for safe access in and out of vehicles. The fee is the same ($10) as for other parking areas.
A Free Shuttle service is provided from the Accessible Parking area directly to the Festival Entrance area! Any person with a disability and their escort or spouse and children may ride the Shuttle. Shuttles operate all day during festival operations and at closing until all guests have been transported to their vehicles.
Pickup/Drop off:
We are not allowed to accommodate pickup and drop off of attendees at the main entrance of Heritage Landing. With it being the only entrance with high pedestrian volume and commercial traffic. Please utilize our shuttles from the parking lot. You can also do a drop off on western avenue at the CVB/Depot across shoreline drive. Our security has been instructed to not allow drop offs at the main entrance.
Accessible Bathrooms:
Several Accessible portable restroom units are located throughout the festival site. Please alert any of our volunteers if you find a restroom in need of attention or supplies.
2024 Policy Updates:
With input from Disability Network West Michigan, Unity has updated some policies to better serve all of our guests. Unity 2024 will continue to have a Disability Concierge who will be in the concert field at all times to assist our guests with any issues they encounter (look for the usher in the blue vest). We have eliminated our reserved seating area in order to increase the wheelchair-friendly seating along the first sidewalk. (Please be aware that wheelchair seating is limited to you, children you are responsible for, and one other companion, so that we have enough space to seat all wheelchair users).
Entry Policy: We will be guiding guests who need some extra time with entry (and one additional helper) into the venue before gates open to other attendees. These guests will wait near the front of the venue with their helper. Gates will open at 4 pm on Wed, August 7th and at 1 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 8-10.
ASL Interpreter: Unity will have an interpreter available for the MainStage for all day Friday and Saturday for Unity 2024. Please thank Darci, Teresa, and Rebecca our interpreters for adding this additional time at short notice. We look forward to providing ASL for future festivals. There will be a special seating section next to the mix tent in the field. We will have space saved for those who need this accommodation. Please bring a chair.
Wheelchair seating: There is space reserved for wheelchairs on/next to the sidewalk on the inner circle of the venue. Our disability concierge will be available to assist.
If you have questions about ANY of our policies or need a specific accommodation, please send us your information using this form https://forms.gle/oAVynEK8k7fzHU148 (submitted before Monday, August 5th): A festival staff member will reply and help you receive the needed assistance if at all possible. See you at Unity!
Please address any questions or concerns on site to our Disability Concierge (wearing a blue vest). Anyone on our staff will be able to connect you with this helper.
We will do our best to provide any and all accommodations necessary for people with disabilities to fully participate in Unity Christian Music Festival, but we ask that you please provide notice at least 48 hours in advance of the festival.
Let us know how we can help:
